The China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) has announced that it plans to launch two experimental communication satellites in the upcoming months. The satellites, named Tiantu1 and Jinggao1, will be launched from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in Shanxi Province.

Tiantu1 is a highthroughput communication satellite that will provide broadband internet services to users in China and surrounding regions. The satellite will use advanced Kaband frequency resources to support applications such as remote sensing, data transmission, and internet access.

Jinggao1, on the other hand, is an optical communication technology verification satellite that will test new communication technologies for future spacebased information networks. The satellite will carry an optical communication payload that will demonstrate highspeed and highcapacity data transmission in space.

Both satellites are part of China's efforts to develop its space industry and enhance its technological capabilities. The launches will also contribute to China's broader goals of building a spacebased information network that can support a range of applications, including communications, remote sensing, and scientific research.
