Starting on March 1, 2023, Chinese and Thai citizens will be able to travel between the two countries without needing a visa. This new arrangement is part of an effort to boost tourism and strengthen bilateral relations. Under this agreement, Chinese nationals holding ordinary passports will be allowed to stay in Thailand for up to 30 days without a visa, while Thai citizens with similar passports can do the same in China.

The visa-free policy is expected to facilitate easier movement for businesspeople, tourists, and those visiting relatives, thereby enhancing people-to-people exchanges.
