Shanghai's Pudong International Airport has resumed online car-hailing services after a hiatus of more than three years. The move is part of efforts to improve the city's transportation network and cater to the growing demand for ride-hailing services.

The airport, one of the busiest in the world, had previously banned such services due to concerns over traffic congestion and safety. However, following an agreement between the airport and major online car-hailing platforms, including Didi Chuxing and曹操出行, the ban has been lifted.

The resumption of online car-hailing services is expected to provide passengers with more options for getting to and from the airport. It will also help to alleviate traffic congestion, which has been a major issue at the airport in recent years.

To ensure safety and security, strict regulations have been put in place for the operators. This includes mandatory vehicle inspections, driver training, and real-time monitoring of services.

The move is seen as a significant step forward for the development of the sharing economy in China, and could set a precedent for other airports around the country to follow suit.
