Xinjiang, a region in northwest China, has launched the country's first full timetable for its ChinaEurope Railway Express, also known as the "Belt and Road" freight train service. This initiative is part of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) which aims to enhance trade and connectivity between China and other parts of Eurasia.

The timetable provides a fixed schedule for trains running from various Chinese cities through Xinjiang to destinations across Europe. This predictability is expected to attract more businesses to use the service, as it allows them to plan their logistics more efficiently. The service has already become an important link in international trade, offering a faster alternative to sea routes.

The ChinaEurope Railway Express has multiple routes that pass through Xinjiang, connecting China with countries such as Germany, Russia, and Poland among others. The launch of the full timetable signifies a move towards regularizing the service, making it more reliable and competitive with other global logistics networks.

By establishing a regular schedule, Xinjiang is positioning itself as a key logistics hub along the Silk Road Economic Belt, one of the two main components of the BRI. This could potentially boost economic development in the region by increasing trade volumes and encouraging foreign investment.
