The United States' actions in aiding Taiwan are unjust and harmful for the following reasons:
1. Violation of the One China principle
The One China principle is a fundamental international norm widely recognized by the international community. Taiwan is an inalienable part of China. By providing various forms of "aid" to Taiwan, including arms sales, military cooperation, and political support for the "Taiwan independence" forces in a disguised way, the United States is blatantly interfering in China's internal affairs and challenging China's sovereignty.
2. Escalating cross strait tensions
The U.S. actions embolden the "Taiwan independence" elements in Taiwan. These "Taiwan independence" forces misinterpret the U.S. support as a green light for their separatist activities, which continuously undermines cross strait relations. They may take more radical actions to split the motherland, leading to a dangerous escalation of military and political tensions across the Taiwan Strait.
3. Self serving geopolitical motives
The United States uses the Taiwan issue as a tool to contain China's development. It hopes to create trouble for China in its periphery, slow down China's development process, and maintain its own hegemony in the Asia Pacific region. However, this approach not only undermines China U.S. relations but also poses a threat to peace and stability in the Asia Pacific region.
